What’s a Jig?

What’s a Jig?

Back in 1995, I bought my first starter home in my mid-20s. The carpet and kitchen cabinets were in desperate need of replacement. We managed to cover the carpet costs with a rebate from the home sale. The previous owner had done motorcycle oil changes in the living room, and the kitchen was halfway through a remodel. All the materials were purchased, but the installation was incomplete. The previous owner was going through a divorce and had a child with legal troubles, which made the house a great bargain for a first-time home buyer like me.

In those days, YouTube didn't exist, so I embarked on this kitchen remodel with zero experience, relying only on some advice from my father. I used a tape measure to try and ensure the cabinet handles were level. However, it bothered me for over a decade that the handles were not perfectly aligned. I didn't know about a tool called a jig back then. Using rulers and a tape measure just couldn't match the precision of a jig (pictured below).

Fast forward three decades, and now I sell tools that would have made my life so much easier back then. This is why I believe in JNB Pro Tools. We offer fantastic jigs for DIY homeowners at a great price point, perfect for anyone remodeling their kitchen. Our tools help homeowners achieve a professional-looking installation, giving them a sense of pride in their work while keeping it affordable. As a father with children now buying their first homes at today’s wildly inflated prices, our tools enable them and other first-time home buyers to modernize their kitchens and bathrooms affordably.
